Happy New Year to all!  At our upcoming February A-Z meeting, we are fortunate to have Jean Howard, Cynthia Green, and Michael Hall from the OPI with us as we discuss the Common Core State Standards and implementation efforts.  Please take a look at our full and worthwhile agenda.  Our meeting will be held at Capital High School in the multi-media room off the library.  We hope to see you there!
 

1. Districts will share their current level of implementation and their planned next steps, based on 1-awareness, 2- alignment, 3-implementation. 
2. Jean Howard and other representatives from the OPI will share the OPI is planning planning: communications ( monthly news, emails, calling campaign); development of cohesive implementation/transition plan(s); administrator outreach (survey, district leadership teams, feedback for collaboration and support); regional demonstration sites; etc.
3. The updated OPI webpage will be presented, with some resources high-lighted.
4. A-Z Participants will have an opportunity to provide feedback to the OPI and discuss needs to districts.  

Another option if you can’t travel, will be watching a Live Stream on the Vision Net website.
